\n \nWe have an immediate opportunity for a Reservation Agent to join our well trained, energetic team. The Reservation Agent will handle all telephone inquiries and reservations accurately and efficiently by answering the telephones courteously, promptly, and professionally while promoting hotel services and ensuring maximum room revenues.
\n \nResponsibilities Include:
\nAnswer telephone promptly and courteously, following AAA Four Diamond and Signature Training Guidelines to Sell the Hotel and Charleston Area.
\nEnter guest reservations into the computer system quickly and accurately, while noting special requests and segmenting reservations into the appropriate category, while following the hotel's selling strategies.
\nBe knowledgeable of all room types, rates, package plans, hotel services, and the local area.
\nDemonstrate a proficiency in checking Group Block room availability, rates, and special notes.
\nMaintain a working knowledge of the sales processes and the front office area.
\nReport rate resistance and all guest challenges to the Revenue Manager.
\nMaintain good relations with all guests and know and implement procedures for giving special attention to VIPs & Patriot Club members.
