Term: Temporary with potential for long-term hire

Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $19.00–$23.00/hour, depending on experience
Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred
Experience: 1–3 years of industrial or manufacturing experience preferred
Position Summary
Are you mechanically inclined and interested in learning a specialized manufacturing skill? We are hiring an Assembler / Production / Polisher in Chippewa Falls. This hands-on position will support the assembly department with a strong focus on learning the process of stoning and finishing chrome-plated die components.
The ideal candidate has previous industrial experience, is comfortable working with hand and machine tools, and has strong attention to detail. This position has the potential to develop into a long-term opportunity for the right person.
Responsibilities
• Prepare parts for assembly according to customer orders
• Learn to stone and finish chrome-plated die bodies
• Review bills of materials and ensure necessary parts are available for assembly
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine assembly requirements
• Fit and assemble machined parts using hand and machine tools
• File, grind, shim, polish, and adjust parts for proper fit
• Lift, position, and secure machined parts using hoists and vises
• Inspect finished parts for proper dimensions, alignment, and clearances
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, and other measuring tools
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Participate in continuous improvement activities including 5S and lean initiatives
• Perform additional production and assembly duties as assigned
Qualifications
• 1–3 years of previous industrial or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and part specifications
• Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable using hand tools and manufacturing equipment
• Machining or machine tool experience is a plus
• Ability to use or learn precision measuring instruments
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
Work Environment
This is a hands-on industrial manufacturing position involving assembly, polishing, grinding, fitting, and finishing precision components. The employee will work with machined parts, hand tools, measuring instruments, and manufacturing equipment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
