Our aggregate supply company is looking for an MDOT certified testing technician to join our family of companies. The technician will travel to the 3 pit locations to obtain samples daily and prepare required sieve analysis.

Responsibilities:

• The Aggregate Tester is responsible for sieve analysis for several different products such as 21AA, CLII, 6A, IV3 materials.
• Will be expected to report daily sales to MDOT weekly.
• Work with site supervisor to ensure material being produced to required specifications.
• Provide sieve report to the site supervisor and advise on any adjustment that may be required in production to meet the special specifications.
• Maintain all sieve reports and provide to customers upon request.
• May be required to set up a pre-approved MDOT pit.
• Set up a lab and obtain MDOT Certification for lab.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have at least 3 years experience (REQUIRED).
• Must be a Michigan Certified Aggregate Technician and provide proof of valid certification.
• Must have A, B, and C Endorsements and provide proof of certifications.
• Must know how to run an aggregate lab and how to use tools such as splitter, shaker, and sieve.

This is a Part Time to full time , hourly position that will require travel to different site locations within Wayne Co.

Work is performed in a combination of an indoor laboratory and outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and cold.
